Did you know that the stunning Maldivian islands are less than four hours from SG?

You’ve probably seen pictures of the almost-too-gorgeous-to-be-real turquoise waters and ultra-white sandy beaches throughout the Maldivian archipelago. But what and where is the Maldives?

It’s an independent country, made up of 1,190 coral islands, about 482 kilometres from the southern tip of India – and, lucky for you, it’s just under 4 hours via direct flight from Singapore (on Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and Scoot).

Unlucky for all of us, these low-lying islands are said to be “sinking” due to rising sea levels. Most experts give the Maldives 30 years before it’s under water! So, I suggest you cross this little piece of paradise off your bucket list now

And, if you’re going to go, do it right – and stay at the W Maldives. This luxury island resort has always been couples-friendly, but now it’s kid-friendly, too. This is what it was like with a toddler in tow.
