Gear up for Singapore’s 54th birthday! This year’s NDP, held at the Padang, will feature highlights such as a special bicentennial segment that features eight floats, the inaugural participation of the Singapore Armed Forces and Home Team Volunteer contingent at the parade and ceremony, the return of the mobile column with new features, and the debut of the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s multi-role tanker transport in the aerial display. Don’t fret if you didn’t manage to get a ticket. Catch the live screening at SAFRA Jurong, Mount Faber, Punggol, Tampines and Toa Payoh, watch the fireworks at the Esplanade waterfront, or catch the mobile column at Bishan, Geylang Serai, Jurong East, Punggol and Woodlands at about 6.45pm on Aug 10.
You can also celebrate Singapore’s 54th birthday across different venues on Aug 9. From an array of family activities at One Tampines Hub to performances by local artists at Sentosa, we are set to go all out in celebrating Singapore’s independence day. More info here.
National Day Parade 2019
Parade at the Padang, activities islandwide
This National Day, go on a heritage trail of Balestier! This best-selling tour will uncover the rich history of the neighbourhood and origins from 1835. See landmarks like the Maha Sasanaramsi Burmese Buddhist Temple to heritage stops such as Lam Yeo Coffee Powder Factory and more. End the tour on a sweet note with a hands-on Ondeh Ondeh-making Workshop and delicious hokkien mee lunch by local hawker icon, Warung Kim’s Seafood, too.
This event is part of Heritage Hurray! and is hosted by Wan Qing Yuan – Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall. Tickets are $5. Find out more here.

Celebrate 10 years of Tanjong Beach Club at their anniversary event, Tanjong Paradisco! Partygoers can expect a list of fun-filled activities planned out for them such as Bottomless Brunch with Perrier-Jouët, Yoga by the beach and Silkscreen Printing. There will also be an Ultimate DJ Blowout featuring Bondax, Brendon P, Downtown Part Network, Elli Arakawa, RAC and Ray Ming.
