In continuation of The Botanist Residencies Series that took place earlier this May, Hisatsugu Saito of Bar Trench in Tokyo, Japan and the newly-opened Ars & Delecto in Shanghai, China will be in town for a guest bartending stint at Gibson for two nights only. He will join hands with Gibson’s bartenders to create an exclusive 10-drink menu around the theme of “Summer to Autumn.” The cocktails will depict the transition between Summer and Autumn through the use of flavours and ingredients associated with each season, from the fresh, summery scent of basil to the warm, sweet aroma of almonds in orgeat syrup, reminiscent of fall. The 10th anniversary of Beerfest Asia — Beerfest Asia 2018 X Edition — is here! Ballet Under the Stars is back for its 23rd edition! SG’s most loved and iconic outdoor dance event will present a weekend of neo-classical works from August 31 to September 2, and another weekend dedicated to masterpieces by SG choreographer Choo-San Goh from September 7-9.
“Our first weekend begins with one of George Balanchine’s masterpieces, The Four Temperaments, followed by a ballet made especially for us by Edwaard Liang with his brilliant 13th Heaven. The evening concludes with François Klaus’ Midnight Waltzes, a ballet meant to evoke the grandeur of the theatre. Our second weekend is a tribute to Singaporean choreographer Choo-San Goh. We present some of his most iconic works with Schubert Symphony, Unknown Territory and Fives – each representing a different aspect of Choo-San’s remarkable ability as a choreographer.” says Artistic Director Janek Schergen. This October, celebrate the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) by forming a sea of pink at Pink Ribbon Walk! Join Breast Cancer Foundation (BCF) for this signature event and demonstrate solidarity with those affected by breast cancer.
