With Hungry Ghost Month coming to a close in Singapore, the vibrant Mid-Autumn Festival now awaits you! Here’s what you can experience in Chinatown to welcome the lively Mid-Autumn Festival. and see if you can spot the characters associated with the celebration.
Walk through the Chinatown streets at night, where a plethora of stalls selling traditional and modern mooncakes, decorative ornaments, clothing and more will come alive.
Where: Along Pagoda Street, Trengganu Street, Sago Street, and Smith Street
When: 30 August – 13 September 2019, 6.30am – 10.30pm
Celebrate the kick-off of the Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations with awesome lighting and visual effects, along with spectacular live performances including acrobatic acts and dances.
Where: New Bridge Road and Eu Tong Sen Street

To commemorate the Singapore Bicentennial, this year’s street light-up will depict Singapore’s story in the last 200 years. Plus, be enchanted by the colourful traditional lanterns and decorations around Chinatown!
Where: Along New Bridge Road, Eu Tong Sen Street and South Bridge Road
When: 31 August – 28 September 2019, 7pm – 12mn (Sun – Thur) and 7pm – 2am (Fri & Sat)
Look out for an exciting line-up of Chinese cultural performances, festive songs, music and dance performances. The various entertainers and troupes are sure to usher in the celebratory mood of the Mid-Autumn Festival along with lion dance performances every night.

If you’re hungry for a taste of local cuisine, take part in a special guided tour where you’ll explore the popular local dishes around Singapore’s Chinese enclave while taking in the festive vibes of the Mid-Autumn celebrations.

Bring your creative lanterns and take a leisurely stroll under the dazzling lantern displays around Chinatown while watching live performances along the way, including local dragon dance troupes and dancers. Get ready for some breathtaking pyrotechnics and fireworks at the end!
