Rev up your party engines for an exhilarating weekend of fun and glamour.
The race might be the highlight of the F1 Grand Prix weekend each year but the after-parties are where the crowds go to let their hair down. The fact that Singapore has a night race makes for a better party atmosphere too, as we can watch the race while we party or stumble into a party straight from the tracks. The Marina area is the best place to catch all the action during GPSS – that’s Grand Prix Season Singapore to the uninitiated – which falls on Sept 20 to 22 this year. Here’s our round-up of the best parties to check out.
There are Amber Lounge parties at pop-up clubs during the Monaco and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix races too but of course we love the Singapore after-party best because we just know how to party, don’t we? This glamorous party is also a star-studded one and you’ll be able to rub shoulders with international celebrities and F1 drivers, who are always pleased to be able to let loose after a few gruelling days of competition. Catch the famous Amber Lounge F1 Driver Fashion Show on Saturday, where F1 drivers and international models strut their stuff on the catwalk to an adoring crowd. Then, after the main race on Sunday, the action moves straight form paddock to party for a night of celebrations, music and merry-making.
From Sept 21-22, Temasek Reflection, 1 Temasek Avenue, 039192. Visit https://amber-lounge.com/singapore
A hot favourite with the rich and famous (and beautiful too), The Podium Lounge parties take place in Melbourne, Monaco and Abu Dhabi too. In Singapore, this A-list party is hosted by former Formula 1 Driver and FOX Sports Asia’s F1 Pundit Alex Yoong and E! News Asia Host Yvette King this year, and they’ll be mingling with the guests on the red carpet. Spice Girl Melanie C – aka Sporty Spice – will be performing a DJ set on the first night and risqué musical comedy troupe The Cuban Brothers will perform on Saturday. Game of Thrones fans should pop down on race night as British actor and singer-songwriter Raleigh Ritchie – famous for his epic role as Grey Worm, Commander of the Unsullied in GOT – will be performing tracks from his outstanding debut album ‘You’re a Man Now, Boy’. All three nights will also see performances by Daniel Jones of Savage Garden with singer Kathleen De Leon of Hi-5 fame, as well as rising Singaporean star Maya Davidov.

Make this your after-party pitstop during the F1 weekend and you’ll enjoy a line-up of top-billed local and international guest DJs.
