When the term “international school” is said, many parents picture massive campuses with extensive facilities and thousands of students.
But, if that option isn’t appealing to you – and you’d prefer a smaller, more nurturing environment for your child at an attractive price – then consider The Grange Institution, which opens this August 2018 and is accepting applications now.
Nestled in a green belt along Yio Chu Kang Road, The Grange Institution offers a mix of reowned international programmes with an introductory fee of $15,840 (excluding school supplies). Tapping into the 40-year education expertise of its partner Kinderland, it is designed to deliver an exceptional learning framework for its students – and is unlike anything currently available in Singapore
The school’s curriculum is inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, where everyone in The Grange – from the principal and teachers to students and parents – play a part in creating a better future. These goals support The Grange’s focus of developing students who are responsible, respectful and creative global citizens. One of the first schools in Singapore to offer the Cambridge International Primary Curriculum, The Grange also strongly emphasises the creative arts and personal expression.
“Our multi-pronged approach involves specialist teachers for music, languages and visual arts; ‘Creators in Residence’ to support students in expressing their creative works; and professionals to facilitate Body SMART – a unique exercise programme that includes creative and rhythmic movement,” says Ronald Stones, OBE, Director of Schools.
“We believe by providing an inclusive and cohesive environment allows our future generation to have a holistic education,” says Ronald, who notes that The Grange has only one class per year group. “This village-like community helps every child enjoy academic, creative and socio-emotional growth.” In addition, it provides more opportunities for interaction among different year levels in their learning journey.
