Have you been to Taylor B. Fine Design’s massive, multi-floor showroom tucked along Keppel Road? If so, you know that you can easily lose a day there, combing through the fascinating home furnishings and amazing art sourced the world over.
The one challenge: It can be difficult to imagine some of the pieces – dramatic artworks, tall headboards – in an actual home.
See the best of Taylor B.’s ever-changing inventory, arranged beautifully, in its brand-new Taylor B. Gallery. On leafy Cairnhill Road, this spectacular, three-storey shophouse is available to view by private appointment – and nearly everything in it is for sale, from $19 bottles of Italian wine to grand $4,689 Buddha statues.
Viewing is by appointment only – call 6225 7090 to arrange a private tour.
In the meanwhile, take a sneak peek at the gorgeous furnishings and art in The Finder‘s exclusive photo gallery below!

As shown on The Finder‘s cover, this is the dramatic scene that you’ll encounter when you walk through the front doors of the Taylor B. Gallery. While the vintage Indian door was previously mounted into the wall, the 10-foot Buddha statues on either side of it are available for sale ($4,669).
Out of your price range? Check out the “Grab It Now!” section on Taylor B.’s site for hugely discounted items that start at just $5. As in the Taylor B. Fine Design showroom, the online stock turns over quickly, so you’re rewarded for going back. And, in case you didn’t know, Taylor B. offers free delivery on everything.
Tip: Sign up for its e-newsletter to learn about new shipments and more.
Or, maybe a nice bottle of Italian wine? The Taylor B. Gallery shows keen customers how to live in style by letting them see actual furniture, art and accessories in situ. (And, yes, Taylor B. sells red and white wine and Prosecco from Italy for $19 and up!)
While not all exact pieces may be available if you visit the shophouse, you are encouraged to look for similar items in the showroom or online.
For instance, pillows (from $19), seagrass rugs (from $289), Silver Rod Floor lamps ($899) and trays (from $29) like the ones shown here are currently in stock. The Caracole cocktail table ($1,549) and sofa ($1,849) were recently sold out, but they are part of Taylor B.’s regular collection, so check back.
The spacious Taylor B. Gallery shophouse has been renovated to be thoroughly modern. Its sleek lines, neutral palette and loads of natural light is an ideal space for exhibiting statement-making pieces of art. Take the standing Buddha ($789) and gold leaf door with crystals ($4,669) adorning this stairwell.
However, don’t assume that you need a similar style or size home to show off Taylor B.’s unique artworks attractively. After the official opening June 16, call Taylor B. to arrange a private tour to see (and measure!) the pieces in person.
Not only can you view the many abstract paintings (from $499) throughout the Taylor B. Gallery, you can glean more than a few ideas about how to display art in your own home.
While the dining table here is vintage and not for sale from Taylor B., what’s around it and above it is – and maybe even more important to bringing a dining room to life.
The chic bamboo arm chairs ($729 each) and side chairs ($589 each) add comfort not bulk, thanks to their cut-outs. Similarly, the crystal chandelier ($789 for similar) diffuses light around the room – and can lend glamour to nearly any space. (Tip: The Taylor B. showroom has a wide range of decorative ceiling lights and floor, table and wall lamps, if you want to see them up close.)
As in the dining room, the crisp blue-and-white items in this bedroom are essentially trend-proof. Here, the offerings include hotel-style bedding (duvet cover, $209; pillow shams, $49 each; and accent pillows, from $39); a curvy lamp ($489, only available in the showroom) as well as a cushy, easy-care rug (from $489, only available in the showroom).
Another lesson not lost on visitors to the Taylor B. Gallery: This tall headboard fits perfectly, even in a low-ceilinged room. The specific headboard is sold out, yet Taylor B. carries many more bed styles as well as mattresses.
In another third-floor bedroom, you might spy this handsome leather wing chair. It’s no longer in stock, but don’t despair! Taylor B. has dozens of eye-catching accent chairs (from $229) to choose from.
Beyond the larger furniture pieces, perhaps the most fun thing to shop for – around Taylor B.’s shophouse, showroom and site – is the small accessories, like this charmingly rustic horse statuette ($169 for similar), orange metal trunk ($169 for similar) and blue iron suitcase ($269). In addition, Taylor B. carries plenty of high-quality candles from brands like Seda France (from $49). (Hint: They make lovely housewarming gifts.)
