Look familiar?

There are oodles of loyalty rewards programmes in Singapore, from shops like Boost Juice to destination hubs like Marina Bay Sands. Nearly every bank offers loyalty rewards cards as well as hundreds of other small shops. Everyone trying to get you to spend more to save more. But the one card that is used at thousands of places in Singapore is the Passion Card.

What is it?

The PAssion Card is the membership card of the People’s Association (established in 1960 to promote unity across Singapore). Introduced in 2005, the card can be used at hundred of merchants but also offers privileges for courses, programmes and activities throughout the community.

You can earn points and/or discounts by shopping at places like Giant, Cold Storage and Guardian (for every $1 you spend, you get 1 point), as well as at places of interest like Gardens by the Bay, Singapore Zoo and even Legoland in Malaysia.

How Do I Get One?

There is a one-time fee of $12 for the Passion Card which is good for 5 years! It’s a steal! You can apply here.

What Benefits Do I Get?

Discounts vary from merchant to merchant but you can learn more here. There are also a couple of different Passion Cards — like the EZ Link card, the POSB debit card. How you plan to use the card should determine which type you should get.
