From Lost Roots To Urban Meadows
This joint exhibition from two female Singapore-based artists, Madhvi Subrahmanian and Nandita Mukand, will inform visitors of the artists’ practices through art installations and sculptural works by their explorations into nature and its effect on our urban world.
Subrahmanian’s works studies the balance between nature and urban culture, and blends conceptual and sensory experiences through an immersive experience in nature. On the other hand, Mukhand’s works discerns the deep intricacies of nature mingled and merged with the workings of the urban mind, drawing from her interests in metaphysics and its abstract concepts such as identity, time, space, and neuroplasticity.
Additionally, look out for a Catalogue Launch and Artist Talk on 6 April, alongside the launch of the exhibition catalogue. Both artists will discuss their practices, processes, and exploratory themes in the exhibition.
RSVP to the dialogue session by 4 April here.
