When was the last time you had a big meal at a Chinese restaurant? Not too recently, we’re guessing. After all, when you’re planning an evening out, Chinese food probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind.
The contemporary 80-seater restaurant is located at Savourworld in Science Park and specialises in Northern Chinese-style cuisine.
But it’s not just your usual Chinese fare…
Each item on the menu is a mix of traditional and modern flavours, and include familiar favourites like dumplings, the Signature Crispy Pork Lard Truffle, vegetarian Truffle Mushroom and Beansprout Mian (Chinese noodles) as well as popular starters like the Tea Smoked Egg, which is made with a blend of premium tea and five spices.
In addition to its la mian (hand-pulled noodles) set lunch promotions, the restaurant also has its own bar, making it great for after-work drinks.
The Blue Lotus brand is highly driven by traditional Chinese food, but its strength lies in making the cuisine palatable for every occasion and audience.
Creating the right ambience at Chinese Noodle Bar was also important for Ricky. By creating a place for “fun dining and value for money cuisine where you can chill, have good conversation and enjoy music,” Ricky hopes that the restaurant will help people make Chinese food their first choice when dining out.
