Recently, The Finder team hosted a huge party with the help of Creative Eateries at our editor, Sara’s house.
If you’ve ever threw a house party, you’d know how disaster-prone things get. But this one went fabulously. Here’s what happened!
And here’s us sharing some party tips we got out of that day!
Creative Eateries prepared a beautiful buffet with a huge spread of food, from Thai green curry to roasted pumpkin salad to a cheese board and more. We loved that there was food from all around the world!

There was even a live carving station with roasted marinated lamb, which was a definite crowd-pleaser.
Or, pimp up the party with other live stations like a live noodle station serving Laksa and Prawn Mee, or a live dessert station serving Chendol and Thai Red Ruby.
NEXT: Cocktails are a must →
Pro tip: spending the entire party with a cocktail shaker in hand serving your guests is not fun. So we thought fancy cocktails, although enticing, were out of the question.
But when we heard that Creative Eateries could do a cocktail station too, we obviously opted right in.
That day, a bartender set up a fully equipped bar counter by the corner of the lounge area, serving Not So Plain Jane (pictured), a lychee cocktail, and Classic Mimosa. The drinks really got people talking – specifically, about themselves, and the cocktails themselves. Especially useful when you’ve got a list of guests who aren’t familiar with each other – nothing a little liquid cordiality can’t do!

See cake in question. It was delicious. But if you don’t cut yourself a slice, you wouldn’t know.
And staying true to a Singaporean paiseh (meaning “shy” in Hokkien) spirit, nobody did.
Which is why it helped that there are professional servers (all smartly dressed up in uniform!) to pass around small bites, clear our guests’ plates after they polished up their food, and well, cut the cake.
P.S. Can you tell our dessert table was Christmas themed? Creative Eateries also does holiday-themed menus – that’s your Thanksgiving party settled!

How hard can DIY garlands get, right?
Wrong. Leave it to the pros – Creative Eateries also brought along lots of decorations, from elegant table runners to flowers and festive accents to primp the space according to our desired theme. They even provided partitions to block out the back of the kitchen, where we didn’t want guests wandering to.
NEXT: However long you think you’ll need for setting up, set aside twice the amount of time for that →
We ended up running on a very tight schedule to prepare for the party, leaving our friends at Creative Eateries barely half the scheduled time to complete the set-up.
Thankfully, they were incredibly efficient, and we were ready to party once our guests arrived. Success!
