Beer is near
So over going out? Hit these six depots for more affordable alcohol – in the comfort of your own home.
1. Mabuk Monkey
Wanna get your mabuk on (that’s “drunk” in Malay) – on the double?
The team at Mabuk Monkey delivers basic beers like Carlsberg and Tiger (from $2.90 for 323 ml) and craft varieties like Brew Dog and Old Empire (from $6 for 330 ml.) in one hour or less on all evenings except Mondays.
2. The French Cellar
Subscribe to The French Cellar to receive two bottles of French wines every month in a pay-as-you-go plan (from $99), or choose between six- (from $88) and 12-month plans (from $79).
Selected by top sommelier Nicolas Rebut (who’s worked at multiple three-star Michelin restaurants!), the wines come with complimentary tasting guide provided by Nicolas. Bonus: You can easily reorder bottles you love at discounted prices.
3. Liquor Bar
Order low-ish priced spirits (e.g., $45 for a 75 cl bottle of Stolichnaya vodka) straight to your doorstep, Mondays to Saturdays between 9am and 7pm.
But unless you’re a morning drinker (and we’re not judging), plan in advance, as service isn’t especially fast.
In addition to its range of groceries and daily staples, Redmart has a huge selection of beers, wines, liquors and sake (from $2.15, $17, $25 and $$6.90, respectively).
Better still, deliveries arrive within 24 hours of ordering.
5. Ring to Drink
Warning: Ring to Drink is slightly more expensive than some other SG delivery services (say, $80 for Captain Morgan dark rum, 75 cl).
However, it will deliver peanuts, cups, ice cubes, cigarettes and even condoms. Safety first!
6. Sheng Siong
This Singaporean supermarket doesn’t just have rock-bottom prices on household essentials and produce (including organic), Sheng Siong also stocks a decent selection of beer and wine for much less than other, more expat-y grocery chains.
Order through allforyou.sg for delivery.
