If you’re after coffee, dessert or brunch, hit these cool Bedok cafes.
While Bedok is known for its tempting array of hawker food, the east-side neighbourhood is also home to several great cafes. Some of these under-the-radar gems feature everything from fresh Canadian oysters to gelato, so if you’re in Bedok, head on down for some delish dishes at wallet-friendly prices.
Even if you don’t have a sweet tooth, Fatcat is bound to convert you with its mouth-watering array of desserts. FatCat’s plated desserts change depending on the season, and right now, you can try their Reverse Smores. The banana caramel sorbet with a cookie base comes with lightly torched marshmallows on top: Bliss!

Having replaced another popular cafe earlier this year, Power Coffeehouse may seem like it has a lot to prove. Hence its homepage statement: “We’re not here to just to fill out an empty storefront – no, we’re here to blow your mind with powerful, engaging, and intense flavours – sure to fill all cravings (and create new ones as well.”
Not surprisingly, its enticing menu of local faves takes the Beverage section to the next level. The Power Kopi Latte, for example, is created with a special artisanal espresso machine, while the cafe’s 100-percent Arabica beans are ethically sourced and freshly roasted. Ready to power up?
