If you missed out on being invited to your Muslim friends and colleagues’ homes during this Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday, don’t worry. Instead of staying home, why not head to the Malay Heritage Centre’s (MHC) annual open house and learn a bit more about Singapore history and the religious celebration that marks the end of Ramadan, the Muslim fasting month? There will be performances and talks, and in the evening, the festivities will continue, as the grounds at Istana Kampong Glam will be lit up.
