This one’s for the house-proud — a day out to specially curated home and interior design stops to learn decorating tips and pick up practical design ideas from the experts. On the D-Tour 18 itinerary: City Gas Gallery, Singapore’s only gas appliance experiential centre; EDL Gallery, one of Asia’s leading distributor of high-pressure laminates; and LUMAS Gallery, provider of limited edition art prints. Organised by The Finder‘s sister magazine, Home & Decor Singapore (its Editor was one of our Finder Insiders in Issue 293!), there’s also breakfast and light lunch provided. Click here to register.
If there’s a bun in the oven, then make your way to this fair. Showcasing a huge variety of products and services from some 500 hundred independent blog shops and major brands, you will find everything from strollers and baby seats, to baby lotions and even Ikan Bilis (anchovy) powder that your LO can eat. A must for expectant parents — it’s so good, The Finder Kids even hosted at the Art Market at the fair’s most recent edition!
Yes, 40 is the new 20 – well, at least it might be for those of you who are 40 and above, if you to head down to this exhibition-slash-fair all that’s all about health, wellness and nutrition. Here’s the math: 160 star buys, 200 brands, at up to 70-percent off, over 3 days. If the sum of which is not good enough, then the host of educational talks, workshops, seminars, cooking demos, contests, giveaways and a sure-win lucky draw should more than convince you about the value of living well (and of signing up early here).
Need artsy reading material for those stay-in days? You won’t do any better than at Singapore Art Book Fair (SGABF), an annual book fair specialising in contemporary art books and zines. Aside from the all amazing tomes to get your mitts on, there’s also the SGABF Zine Room, where you can learn about the local independent zine culture and flip through DIY publications, and a series of presentations and workshops by writers, curators and artists to attend and learn all about the book biz (FYI, this year’s theme is “Publishing As Discourse”). Check out the full programme here.

It may be football season now, but it’s Super Rugby at Singapore’s National Stadium this Saturday! The one and only Super Rugby game in SG this year sees a battle between Singapore’s adopted home team, HITO-Communications Sunwolves (the team’s joined by Jamie Joseph as the new Head Coach this year), and South Africa’s Bulls. It promises to be a tension filled match — the Sunwolves lost 27-3- to the Bulls the last time they met in 2016 at the National Stadium — so strap on your boots (and get your tix) for a proper scrum and ruck in the hub!
30 June 2018, from 7:55 p.m.
National Stadium, 1 Stadium Dr, 397629
What better way to enjoy summer than having a pool party (safely, please) — and Adventure Cove Waterpark‘s event is one massive one. Its first ever Splash Bash features games and challenges such as a puzzle-based obstacle race and a flag race, where winners get to cart home prizes worth a cool $10, 000. Of course, there’s a DJ to rev up the atmosphere (he also takes requests), and other thrilling water rides to be had. (Psst: It’s been going on since 26 May, and will end this very weekend, so better get your tickets here pronto!)
