It’s no secret by now that Singapore Changi Airport is among the world’s best, if not the best.
And it just got better: Meet Singapore Changi Airport’s all-new Terminal 4, set to begin operations in the second half this year. It’s also Singapore’s first checkpoint with multiple biometric capabilities!
Greenery is a key feature – its greenwall facade on the exterior is draped with 16,000 plants.
Inside, more than 80 retail outlets will be spread over 16,000 sqm, making the terminal a shopping and dining haven featuring popular brands, innovative concepts and unique experiential zones.
Two core duty-free categories – Liquor and Tobacco and Cosmetics & Perfume will combine and operated in a single zone, while there will also be a heritage zone inspired by Peranakan shophouses.
The departure hall is a vast space devoid of columns, and has a high ceiling with petal-shaped skylights to allow natural light into the terminal.
Colourful and cushy chairs in the departure transit area provide you comfort and relief.
The spacious boarding area gives you a great view of the airplane runway as you wait for your flight.
The arrival hall, designed to allow natural light to flood in, also sports a green theme.
