One of Singapore’s most historic buildings is now home to this multi-disciplinary arts venue. The Screening Room, a 75-seater film theatrette, is a cozy space which often screens documentaries and international films.

If you’ve ever wondered what movie theatres in Singapore are like before the swanky and modern refurbishments, head over to The Projector. This independent cinema screens everything from indie, foreign, cult favourites, classics, arthouse, horror and local films.
Snacks and beer are available at the Golden Bar just outside the movie theatres (We love their salted-egg yolk fries!).

Singapore’s first independent contemporary arts centre houses The Substation Theatre, which is a versatile space for black box theatre plays as well as the occasional movie screenings.
