Take a peek inside our 25 Anniversary Collector’s Edition of The Finder.
Issue 292 is full of some of Singapore’s most successful expatriate business founders, our 2018 Expatpreneur Award winners. Because of their impressive achievements and our own – The Finder is the longest-running publication for expats in Singapore, just SYK – we chose to title this issue “Success!”
Find out some highlights in the gallery below, and then download each issue of The Finder for free via the free SPH Magazines app (on Apple iTunes or Google Play) or on Magzter.com, or pick up the print edition at 400 outlets around the island.
An excerpt from this issue’s editor’s note: “When I think back to my younger self, and why I was drawn to journalism as a profession, it came down to three simple things: I’d get to talk to people, learn stuff and then tell other people about it.
Today, these are still my favourite parts of the job.
And, for me, it doesn’t get much better than creating this “Success!”-themed Issue 292, in which we unveil our second annual Expatpreneur Award winners: 23 impressive expatriate business founders, owners and leaders who help people “live well in Singapore” – just like The Finder!”
Bonus: Check out that vintage cover of The Finder (on the bottom right) featuring Ah Meng, the Singapore Zoo’s beloved, now deceased orangutan mascot. Ah-Meng-zing!
For a second year running, The Finder tapped some of Singapore’s most successful, community-serving expatriate entrepreneurs. This year, with help from an esteemed judging panel (including the originator of the term “expat-preneur”!), we honoured seven special awardees with six additional awards: Most Innovative, Best New Business, Longevity, Small-but-Mighty, Pay-it-Forward and Business of the Year.
After a long day of work (or not), why not treat yourself to a cocktail at one of these drinking dens known for their “Cheers!”-worthy prices. Check out the ultimate list of happy hours online here.
