When Singaporean mum Stacey Png went hunting for kids furniture to give her child’s bedroom an extra special touch, she found the Red Dot lacking in both quality and style.
It inspired her to start Piccolo House, now a household name for high-quality, comfortable, sophisticated furniture at affordable prices. “I believe children form their first, and often, happiest memories in their bedrooms. It’s where they play, learn, sleep and dream,” says Stacey. “That’s why I’ve spent a great deal of time sourcing for the best products from all over the world,” she adds.
Piccolo House retails beds and mattresses, wardrobes, dressing tables and mirrors, bookcases, storage, desks, bedding, wall decals, curtains and assorted accessories such as loomed rugs, fun lighting and cosy cushions. Each of its furniture pieces are intricately crafted from solid wood, coated with non-toxic paint and come with safety features such as rounded edges, back strips, anti-slip and anti-dust mite properties and more.
While the range of beds are made in Malaysia, most of its other products are sourced from respectable European retailers such as Patersonrose, Great Little Trading Co., Lilipinso, Eglue and Little Lovely, and abide by European standards. “Our suppliers have seasonal product changes, which means our designs and offerings are always fresh,” says Stacey, who loves that it often leaves her customers spoiled for choice.
Stacey prefers working with suppliers who can offer matching products that complete a room. “This helps customers that may not know how to mix and match different pieces of furniture,” she says.
Not sure where to start? Stacey’s always ready to help, and can offer friendly deco advice if needed. To make an appointment or browse through the products, call or visit the Piccolo House showroom.
