True Story: How Your Kids Gain Cultural Perspective In International Schools In Singapore

21 March 2017

The Australian International School (AIS) offers the best of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme and the Australian Curriculum.

The school prides itself on being globally focused while remaining distinctly Australian in its culture and attitude.

AIS’s philosophy commits fully to the notion of a holistic, rounded education, which cherishes the arts and sports as well as academics and other essential dimensions of each student’s education.

With a friendly community of students, parents and staff , AIS provides a welcoming environment that offers opportunities for collaboration, learning and, most importantly, enjoyment.

Here’s what’s special about AIS.

1. An inclusive environment

AIS remains non-selective in its admissions policy, confident in the belief that that it is not intellectual ability alone that determines an individual’s worth or contribution to the betterment of our world.

2. A meaningful space

The school’s new Early Learning Village, which opens July 2017, is designed for children aged 18 months to 6 years. The campus features Reggio-Emilia inspired classrooms, each with their own outdoor space, plus a range of other facilities such as a gym, pool and inquiry centre.

3. Proven results

In 2016, AIS achieved a 100-percent pass rate on the IB Diploma Programme as well as its best Higher School Certificate results in five years.

While AIS is extremely proud of its students’ academic achievements, its priority is to develop young people with a moral commitment to making the world a better place.

What parents say

“AIS combines a strong academic programme under the IB programme and a set of values that are aligned to ours. My kids have grown immensely over the last two years. They enjoy learning and engaging with kids from all over the world, which provides them with a broader perspective of different cultures, and a safe environment to be themselves. ”
