An affectionate term used for a live-in housekeeper during the British Colonial era, amahs were typically associated with reliability, trust and professionalism, and were often treated as part of the family.
Amahs on Wheels aims to forge this same special relationship with its customers, says owner Angie Koh.
What You’ll Get
Each weekly cleaning session covers general cleaning and ironing as well as ad-hoc services like window and ceiling fan cleaning, too.
“Flexibility and personalised cleaning or servicing is a key feature of our services, and we understand that sometimes customers require only specific tasks,” says Angie.
“As such, customers can contact us to arrange for customised cleaning options.”
“The beauty of our weekly cleaning service is that our helpers will clean and leave – leaving you with none of the management issues or worries you’d typically face with a live-in maid,” explains Angie.
“You’ll also get the same amah each week, which is convenient and helps build trust between you and her,” says Angie. However, if your usual helper is away on leave or unavailable, you will get a replacement helper for that week. Angie says that Amahs on Wheels’ weekly cleaning service is suitable for elderly people or singles who enjoy living independently, but don’t want to be bogged down by cleaning or house work.
Amahs On Wheels was one of the pioneering cleaning companies in Singapore. Helmed by an experienced management team with over 20 years in the hospitality industry, their conception is an integration of 5-star excellence and domestic service, and aim to deliver quality cleaning service to homes.
