Wanna pizza me?
Pizza always delivers – pun intended – and here are our 8 top pizza spots in Singapore.
Think fancy, fun, yet pocket-friendly pizzas like the Green Garlic (with panna, peas, asparagus, bacon & fontina) or the Bacon Salame (with fennel sausage, pancetta, tomato & mozzarella).
The cosy vibes of this quaint restaurant make it a perfect setting for any occasion, from a family dinner out to a first date. And yes, we’re all for pizza on a first date.
If you’re a chewy crust kind of pizza person, Cicheti will be right up your alley – the thick, doughy crust is the winning element of their Neapolitan-style pies, baked to perfection in their wood-fired oven.
And don’t leave without desserts – we say go for their Crack Pie with cocoa crumble and vanilla gelato. Not literally as described, but it comes pretty close.
52 Kandahar St, Singapore 198901
NEXT: Etna →
Their entire menu – pastas, meats and seafood too – reads extremely well, but we say go for the eponymous Etna (pizza topped with mozzarella cheese, porcini mushrooms, Parma ham, cream cheese and pistachio).
50 Duxton Rd, Singapore 089534
NEXT: Limoncello →
Many Italians living in Singapore swear by Limoncello. This fine dining restaurant specializes in home-made Napoletan wood-fired pizza – think a nicely fluffed, crusty base generously adorned with your favourite toppings – but also pasta as well as and charcoal grilled meat and seafood.
If you’re feeling Italian grub in a fine dining setting, this has to be it!
#01-18/19/20 River Gate Condominium, 95 Robertson Quay, Singapore 238256
NEXT: Timbre →
As much as we love our classic Hawaiian or pepperoni pizzas, this groovy restaurant-bar’s inventive creations does it for us when we’re feeling funky. Take for instance the Roasted Duck with Hoison Sauce Pizza, which, in all honesty, might not look the most, um, pizza-like, but it’s love at first bite.
Bonus: A live band – it could be a full-on rock set or a jazzy kind of thing – serenades you through the night. Sounds like our ideal pizza party.
The Substation, 45 Armenian St, Singapore 179936
NEXT: Alt Pizza →
This casual pizza joint is a fuss-free, affordable option for thin-crusted pizzas. The toppings are relatively classic yet generous, so expect these gems to be big on flavour and quality.
(P.S. We sat down with Alt Pizza’s executive chef, Matthew White, who shared his favourite offbeat gems in Singapore.)
#01-602 Suntec City Tower 4, 9 Temasek Blvd, Singapore 038983
NEXT: Pizza Express →
Don’t be too quick to dismiss this gem just because it’s a chain restaurant – after all, it’s this established for a reason.
We could hardly decide between the Classic thick-crusted pizzas or the crispier thin-crusted Romana ones (they’re famous for their dough – they’ve even got dough balls as a signature starter!), but either way, you can’t go wrong with this UK cult favourite.
#B1-08/09 Scotts Square, Scotts Rd, Singapore 228209
NEXT: Crust Gourmet Pizza Bar →
Inspired by international flavours, expect some solid pizza combinations you never knew you’d love, from the Wagyu Beef and Prawn Pizza to Chicken Avocado Pizza. The one that truly stole a pizza our heart: the award-winning Moroccan Spiced Lamb Pizza with mint yogurt, onions, fresh baby spinach and a squirt of lemon.
