This month we’re bringing you the 50 best dining experiences in Singapore. We’ve trekked all over the island and found the best spots based on the type of food you are craving. (It was a tough job but someone’s got to do it!) Whether it’s an evening of fine dining for two or a meal to share with friends, you’ll find somewhere delicious for every occasion.

 

FOR SEAFOOD

Jumbo Seafood, Price: $$$

One of Singapore’s most reputable seafood restaurants, JUMBO Seafood is famous for its divine black pepper crab and chilli crab dishes. The queues at JUMBO are long, so be sure to make a reservation beforehand.

 

The Catch, Price: $$

This hidden gem in Changi showcases ocean favourites cooked in Chinese fashion. Be sure to try the lala clams boiled in Chinese wine with a draught beer or sangria. It’s a little tricky to find, so look for the Johore Battery war memorial and then follow the road signs in. At 27 Cosford Road, Tel: 6546 2155.

 

Pan Pacific Singapore, Price: $$$

Savour lobsters on ice, freshly shucked oysters, king crab, and Western style selections such as paella, fisherman’s stew, seafood ceviche. If you’d like a little Eastern flair, opt for home grown favourites like the salted egg crab, crispy cereal prawns and fish head curry. The Naked Finn, Price: $$$

Pop in during lunch for a taste of the lobster roll and hae mee tng (prawn noodles in savoury broth). The dinner set for two has New Zealand littleneck clams, locally farmed Barramundi and tiger prawns and more. At Block 39 Malan Road, Gillman Barracks, Tel: 6694 0807.

 

Dancing Crab, Price: $$

Offering bold Creole cuisine and country-style Cajun seafood, Dancing Crab is definitely a hot hangout spot. Start off with crab cakes or the popular lobster roll, and then dig into the sharing combo bag filled with Sri Lankan crabs, juicy prawns, mussels and more. Pince & Pints, Price: $$

The lobster is the star at Pince & Pints, a casual, unpretentious restaurant and bar at Duxton Road. Freshly caught lobsters are flown in twice weekly from Boston, Maine and Canada, for the lavish portions that are prepared in both traditional New England style or with local pairings like chilli and mantou buns.
