The world is indeed Rosy Zimmerman's oyster. Around 13 years ago, the German native used her 25 years of international experience in the jewellery trade to start Pearls, Pearls, Pearls & More. Today, her brightly-painted jewellery boutique offers an extensive array of freshwater pearls in stunning classic and modern designs, plus a wide range of precious and semi-precious stone pieces featuring gems such as blue topaz, diamonds and pink and blue sapphires. With a focus on bespoke design, Rosy enjoys the creativity of her role, designing and constructing
various pieces to offer a wide range of unique earrings, rings, bracelets and necklaces.

TF: Why do pearls continue to appeal?
RZ: Pearls have an everlasting beauty but their appeal can only be accentuated through creative design. I craft unique pieces in line with fashion trends and my clients' individual tastes. It's always challenging to follow the latest trends for jewellery and there's nothing more annoying when competitors copy my designs!

TF: Any tips for buying and caring for pearls?
RZ:

• Pay attention to the evenness of the pearl's lustre, shape, colour and size
• .Restring pearls every one to two years to maintain the tension of the strand and reduce breakage.
• Always put pearls on after dressing and remove before undressing.
• Pearls are organic and absorbent so acidity in perfume, cosmetics and perspiration can spoil their lustre. If a strand of pearls is affected by perspiration, wash them in lukewarm water with pure soap, rinse with clear water and leave to dry on a towel. This ensures the thread doesn't stretch.
