Simple changes for optimum health

 

  • Start with a good breakfast of fruit and a cereal that’s low in sugar and high in fibre.

  • Eat at least 30 grams of fibre every day.

  • Switch from coffee to decaffeinated tea.

  • Only eat carbohydrates in your first two meals of the day.

  • Enjoy at least five small meals a day.

  • Don't wait to be hungry to eat – otherwise you’ll overeat.

  • Drink at least eight glasses of water a day.

  • If you eat meat make sure it’s lean – and organic if possible. Many animals are fed hormones and we end up eating the same, through them.

  • Start your day with 20 minutes of exercise – walking, cycling or swimming. You’ll soon see an increase in your energy levels and metabolism. Mind & Body
