Nailing it
Make your manicure last
A good topcoat prevents your nail polish from chipping and applied every alternate day can extend the life of your manicure.
Seal the edges by swiping the tip of your nail with the nail brush. This helps prevent your nail polish from peeling and chipping and water or dirt being trapped between the layers of polish.
If you’re especially active with your hands – constant typing, housework, packing and so on – make sure you choose a nail salon that offers a complimentary touch-up service. Polished Divas Nail Lounge
Perfect polish
Long-lasting nail colour starts at the base. Make sure your nails are properly cleaned and any old nail polish is thoroughly removed. Nail polish remover rids nails of grease and moisture, so your new nail colour will stay on longer.
Use a base coat for protection, two thin layers of polish and then apply a topcoat. Allow each coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next, for a lasting result.
Don't forget to run the brush of the nail polish and the topcoat under each nail to prevent chipping and apply a top coat over your nails every alternate day.
If expertly applied at a salon, your nail colour should last for one week on your fingers and three weeks on your toes. Serendipity
