Overcome addiction

Recovery from any addiction is a process which can be learned, reinforced and integrated into our lives. When we recover from an addiction, everyone around us benefits. We are restored to sanity and usefulness, our productivity improves and the lives of our family members, friends and neighbours are made better. Recovery is, in essence, "a true experience" of personal, collective and relationship freedom. Freedom from lies, guilt, compulsion, loneliness, isolation, secrecy and self-destruction. Dealing with an addiction and changing yourself takes time. The biggest set-back is when you give up, feeling impatient with the process of change. But change brings progress. Don't give up, ask for help. The Center for Psychology, Tel: 6733 2893, www.center4psy.com
