Capricci is the brainchild of Italian Massimo Aquaro - a mainstay of Singapore's social scene. Promising a dining experience you're unlikely to forget, the kitchen uses only natural ingredients: imported Italian buffalo mozzarella, Sicilian cherry tomatoes and sausages made in-house - from the curing right to the mixing. Highly recommended dishes include Souffle di Asparagi e Fontina - asparagus soufflé with cheese fondue; Porcini e Stracchino - sleeves of pasta with homemade sausage, porcini mushroom and stracchino cheese; and Costolette di agnello - pistachio-crusted lamb cutlets. 27 Tanjong Pagar Road.           A new addition to Japanese izakaya (restaurant-bars) is trendy San-Sui Sumiyaki and Tsuki-Bar which pairs fine Japanese cuisine with traditional beverages. San-Sui's tempting menu showcases a range of poultry, seafood and prime cuts of wagyu beef and kurobuta pork prepared over a sumiyaki - traditional charcoal grill. Try the Fugu Mirin - mirin-dried puffer fish; Yakitori Tsukune chicken ball and grilled Japanese mackerel. Complement your meal with an extensive selection of 50 sake labels, 15 varieties of Shochu, ten kinds of Umeshu, including Yuzu Umeshu and Ikkonrokusai Waumeshu, and a wide selection of wines, cocktails and beers. One Fullerton Road, #01-05 One Fullerton. Tel: 6423 1555.
District 10 is a favourite chill-out spot known for its delicious, unpretentious gastropub fare and quiet, breezy, casual location. The menu has quintessentially English fare with a hint of Asia. Don't miss the linguine scallops with chilli padis, wagyu beef rendang pizza and the creamy passionfruit cheese cake. A late night snack menu is available on Fridays and Saturdays until 12:30am. 10 Winstedt Road, #01-17. Tel: 6738 4788. www.district10.com.sg, Email: contact@district10.com.sg
