Dry skin brushing tips
Our overall state of health is often evident by the state of our skin. While moisturising is one way of keeping skin supple, the natural alternative for glowing skin is to use a body brush. Made from natural plant fibres, a body brush revitalises by exfoliating the skin and stimulating blood circulation. Start from your feet, using short strokes at first and then in time, longer strokes up to your thighs. Then brush from your fingertips to your shoulders, finishing with your kidneys, back, circular motions on your stomach and downward strokes on your chest towards your heart. For maximum benefit, brush daily using firm, long strokes in circular movements for five minutes - always going in the direction of your heart. Start with a light pressure and gradually increase. After use, rinse your brush clean, shake and hang it up to dry.
