The indoor dining room is articulated by wicker featured walls which wrap around the ceiling offering a resort-like feel. White linen tablecloths, distinctive hard back menus, designer uniforms, tasteful furnishings and a revolving collection of reasonably priced, hand-selected wines from exclusive Italian vineyards, all contribute to the quality and excellence Da Paolo exudes.
MENU Simplistic in our selection, we started with a delicious buffalo mozzarella, roma tomatoes and basil appetiser and the obligatory Prosciutto di Parma e Melone - Parma ham and succulent rock melon. For a vegetarian alternative, try the Portobello mushroom, taleggio cheese, salad and fried potatoes. Embracing the essence of a true Italian feast we shared Chef Gleb Sneghin's lovingly prepared primi and secondi dishes - the succulent ravioli beef cheek with a light veal jus, topped with generously shaved parmesan and the delicious tagliatelle with crabmeat, tomatoes and cream. The cod fish fillet drizzled with a light black truffle sauce and served with a potato puree makes for a good seafood option while the Ossobuco di Vitello - braised veal shank with potato puree was tender, melt-in-your-mouth perfection! For dessert don't neglect the homemade crepes served with citron sauce, blood orange sorbet or the Bonet Piemontese e Gelato - a classic piedmont amaretto chocolate dessert with chocolate ice cream. Simply delizioso!
