CONCEPT OChre is a salute to the natural mineral pigments found across Italy which produce colours ranging from simple pale yellows to a sophisticated reddish purple. The culinary aim at OChre takes a similar approach, starting with the basics and transforming dishes through innovative techniques and flavours. Perched on the rooftop of Orchard Central, OChre is split into two areas - the chic indoor dining space features an elegant show kitchen which engages with displays of professional culinary skills. The relaxed alfresco lounge and dining section is an ideal spot to kick back with a few drinks and soak in the Singapore skyline.MENU Made up of traditional Italian favourites treated with contemporary techniques and combined with global influences, the menu boasts a melange of flavours, fresh ingredients and colours inspired by the varied tastes across Italy.
To start, try the refreshing double carpaccio of Hokkaido scallop and parma prosciutto with a sprinkling of Japanese cucumbers, baby tomatoes and olives. For something more indulgent, opt for the pan fried foie gras set on a pistachio brioche and served with a side of caramelised strawberries and mesclun salad. OChre prides itself in serving some of the best Risotto, now available in two versions - one with crystal bay prawns, saffron and Champagne and the other with Scamorza cheese. Plans are underway to add more tastes and style. Pasta fans should try the Tagliolini tossed in tomato cream with crystal bay prawn, mussels and crab meat, while meat lovers should make a date with the pan seared beef tenderloin topped with a slice of caramelised foie gras served on a bed of creamy mash potatoes and drizzled with marsala wine sauce - tender, juicy, flavourful and simply divine!DAMAGE Appetizers $20, Soups $11, Pizza $19, Pastas $25, Risotto $28.50, Fish & Meat $32.50, Dessert $10.
