Wholly adapted from the original JuChunYuan restaurant in Fuzhou - China, JuChunYuan carries the same culinary standards and signature dishes of its principal, here in Singapore.
It is the first and only restaurant outside of China which specializes in Min (Fujian/Fuzhou) cuisine. (Min cuisine uses seafood as its main ingredients, and is characterised by its emphasis on taste, visual appeal and aroma.)
Originally started in 1865, JuChunYuan sticks by the conviction of founder Chef Chen Zhun Fa in using only superior stock instead of water in all dishes. This resulted in the rich flavourful dishes, which put JuChunYuan in the spotlight as the "destination restaurant" in Fuzhou. Incidentally, Chef Chen Zhun Fa was also the creator of the original world-renowned gourmet dish - Buddha Jumps Over the Wall.
JuChunYuan is currently helmed by the 6th-generation original JuChunYuan Master Chef - Chef Li Yan, who was awarded by the Fujian Provincial Economic and Trade Commission in 2005 as one of the "Top Ten Chefs" of the province. The restaurant carries the authentic - Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, including other signature dishes created by Master Chef Li Yan, like "Pa Shao" Stewed Pork Belly, Braised Monkey Head Mushroom and wok-fried Pork Collar with Fresh Mushroom.
